Project Architect

Reports To:  Partner-in-Charge or Studio Director

Knowledge/Skills:

  •  Demonstrated technical competence in architecture and/or interior design
  • Advanced interior architecture detailing skills
  • Working knowledge of contract documents and procedures, building systems, codes and ADA requirements
  • Keen design sense and detail oriented
  • Advanced REVIT skill
  • Demonstrated ability to self-manage and lead junior staff
  • Strong written and oral communication with clients and staff
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time on multiple projects and tasks within projects simultaneously

Responsibilities:

  • Performs tasks though all phases to completion: Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, Bidding and Negotiation, and Construction Administration
  • Coordinates with senior technical and design staff to provide technical solutions for design challenges
  • Coordination of engineering consultants
  • Successfully completes all contractual requirements on time and within budget, with a quality matching the OTJ values
  • Maintains high client satisfaction to further client relationships
  • Requires some supervision and guidance from senior staff, Studio Directors, and/or Partners
  • Qualifications:
  • Graduate of architecture or design school: equivalent experience may be substituted
  • 5+ years’ experience in corporate interior design projects
